BIOPORT is a nonprofit organisation founded in 1994 by Benoit MIRIBEL with the support of Dr Charles MERIEUX to bring together the logistics of those involved in solidarity and public health. Based in the dynamic Lyon area, the organisation provides practical support to its partners in the 4 corners of the globe for recurring programmes and crisis responses.
BIOPORT is a recognised actor in the field of solidarity and humanitarian logistics, working to help vulnerable populations by building skills and pooling resources in France and abroad. Our purpose is to provide logistic services tailored to the needs of humanitarian organisations through a pioneering, partnership-based and innovative approach.
Our holistic approach enables us to coordinate and optimise the management of our partners' logistic resources by pooling their capabilities. For 30 years, BIOPORT has been offering logistic solutions to national and international solidarity organisations. We manage, optimise, develop and support all operations in the supply chain for the social, solidarity and humanitarian sectors.
With over 4,500 m² of optimised warehousing space in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, with an ideal geographical location on the Lyon Airport site, solid partnerships and a qualified team, BIOPORT can meet any emergency or long-term logistics requirement.
Futhermore, BIOPORT promotes a social and inclusive approach by working with people on work integration schemes in its own warehouses as part of the national inclusion programme.
