In recent years, the material needs of people living in precarious conditions in France have risen sharply.

In 2023, people living below the poverty line will represent 14.4% of the French population, which corresponds to one million people in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.

With this context in mind, BIOPORT, whose activities focused historically on internationalsolidarity, has decided make itself available for local actors, notably by providing unconditional, non discriminatory support for the supply of essential non-food items.

BIOPORT offers its usual services to those involved in social emergencies.

In 2023, BIOPORT also took part in the creation of a Solidarity Platform, in consortium with the Agence du Don en Nature, the Fédération des Acteurs de la Solidarité Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and Le Group', which matches the usual services provided by BIOPORT: organization of transport, storage, picking, and kitting services, quality control, emergency stocks, etc.
